Pacific Boating operates Sydney's longest-running, premier boat membership Programme. For over 20 years, we've been providing unparalleled access to Sydney's finest waterways. Our fleet of 19 sports cruisers are impeccably maintained and available to first timers and lifelong boaters alike.
Unlike any other ownership model, be it outright or shared, a Pacific Boating membership comes with minimal up-front cost. Additionally, for the duration of your membership with us, you'll know exactly what you'll pay for all major costs, including joining fee, monthly membership fee, and optional insurance excess reduction (offering $0 excess on damages). The only variable cost is the fuel you use on your cruise, along with some minor courtesy items.
Pacific Boating operates three 'Classes' of Sea Ray sports cruisers: our 32-foot, 44- foot, and 52-foot models. All our boats are Sea Ray Sundancers. These three classes offer a variety of facilities and amenities designed to suit most boating requirements.
Depending on the membership access you choose, all three classes offer 5 and 7- day membership options, providing between 12 and 24 days of cruising per year. For members who anticipate using a boat more frequently, we offer options to cover more than 24 days per year. Our advanced booking system has been refined over many years to ensure all members have equal access to the boats, regardless of the season or demand. We strongly recommend utilising these advanced bookings, especially for peak times. While we cannot guarantee short-notice availability during the busiest periods, our system is designed to maximise access for all members.
Yes, we have designed our online booking system so our members can plan and manage their bookings throughout their membership. We strongly encourage all members to take advantage of this service and make their own bookings online. Our Membership Team is always available to assist in instances where a booking is unusual or made very close to your desired cruising day. For all other bookings, we recommend utilising the online system to reserve boats months in advance, especially for busier seasonal periods.
We have a $1500 joining fee to become a Pacific Boating member. Your first monthly membership fee is only charged when your membership begins. In some cases, this may be 1-2 months after joining.
Your monthly membership fee can range from $995 per month up to a maximum of $4850 per month depending on the class you join, and access chosen. With an optional Insurance Excess Reduction of $300 per month (IER) giving you 100% peace of mind, there are no hidden fees with Pacific Boating. The only additional ongoing variable cost is the fuel consumed during your cruise.
The monthly membership fees are determined by the class of boat you are interested in (32, 44, or 52-foot), the level of access you desire (5-day, or 7-day which includes weekend and public holidays), and the length of your commitment to us (we have preferential rates for longer term contracts).
The $1500 joining fee is charged at the time you sign the membership application form, and your membership is approved. Your first monthly membership fee will be charged on the first working day of the first month of your membership. This can be days or months in advance, depending on your schedule.
To join Pacific Boating, we will need to confirm which class of boat you would like to take advantage of during your time with Pacific Boating. We will then look to understand whether you're after five-day access or seven-day access to our boats; seven-day access includes public holidays and weekends. We will also look to understand which of our locations you expect to be your home club and what start date you would like for your membership. To secure a membership with us, you simply need to have a contract in place and to have paid your $1,500 joining fee. This doesn't mean that needs to be the immediate start of your membership; if circumstances require you delaying the start of your membership by four to eight weeks, we'll be happy to accommodate this. Locking in your membership start allows us to better plan your training dates so that it is completed in time for the start of your membership. From that point on, we will lock in training dates for you at both of our locations, completed as practically close to the start of your membership as possible, so that your training is fresh in your mind for your first day out on the water, and you're ready to put it into action.
